Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how komocode (“komocode”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the LUTSgen application (“App”) and the website at https://www.lutsgen.com (“Website”).

Summary

  • The App collects no personal data. All processing happens on your device.
  • The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share biometric face data. Face-related scene labels, if generated during on-device analysis, are temporary and used only to recommend LUT looks.
  • The Website's essential delivery and security run through Cloudflare's network. Only if you accept, we load Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-first, cookieless) and Google Tag Manager, which may run tags for Google Analytics and advertising measurement (including Reddit and X (Twitter) ads and conversions).
  • The Website itself does not display third-party ads. Optional tags help us measure site usage and the performance of our marketing campaigns. You can decline optional cookies and tags.

1. The App

LUTSgen processes your videos, images, and color data entirely on your device. Your media is never transmitted to us or to any third party by the App. The App contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking technologies, no accounts, and no third-party data-collection SDKs. We do not receive app usage data from the App itself. Apple may provide us with aggregate, non-identifying App Store, sales, usage, and diagnostic information through Apple’s developer tools.

Your device settings, Apple services, iCloud, Photos, Files, backups, or other apps may sync or store your media independently of LUTSgen. This Policy describes what we collect and transmit, not how Apple or other services you choose may handle files on your device.

Downloads and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not receive personally identifying purchase information; Apple may make available to us only aggregate, non-identifying sales and usage statistics.

The App uses Apple WeatherKit and MapKit for weather and map-related features. When you use those features, the App may send Apple the location, map region, or search information needed to return the requested results, along with technical information Apple requires to provide and secure its services. komocode does not receive or retain that information. Apple processes it under Apple’s privacy policy.

2. Face Data

LUTSgen does not collect, store, transmit, or share biometric face data. The App does not create face templates, faceprints, face embeddings, facial geometry, facial landmarks, identity profiles, or Face ID data.

When you choose a video or image, LUTSgen may analyze selected frames on your device using Apple’s on-device Vision framework and simple color statistics to understand general scene content and recommend suitable LUT looks. This processing may identify general scene concepts such as portrait, people, or face, but the results are not used to identify any person.

All such processing happens locally on your device. Face-related scene labels, if generated, are temporary and are used only during the current look-generation workflow. They are not uploaded to komocode or any third party, are not used for tracking or advertising, and are not retained by komocode.

3. The Website

The Website is delivered through Cloudflare’s content-delivery and security network. To serve and protect the Website, Cloudflare may process limited technical data, including IP addresses, for security, fraud prevention, reliability, and aggregate traffic reporting. This essential processing happens regardless of your analytics choice below and is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Only if you accept via our on-site notice do we load Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Tag Manager (GTM) (Google LLC). Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-focused, cookieless measurement tool that collects only aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, referring sites, general device/browser type, and approximate country; it does not fingerprint or track individuals across sites, and this information cannot reasonably be used to identify you. GTM is a tag container that can load other scripts we configure, including Google Analytics 4 (site usage measurement) and advertising / conversion measurement tags used with our marketing campaigns, including Reddit (Reddit, Inc.) and X (Twitter) (X Corp.) ads. These tools may set cookies or similar technologies and process technical data such as approximate location, device/browser type, pages viewed, referral information, ad click or campaign identifiers, and conversion events.

Cloudflare Web Analytics, GTM, and the tags GTM loads are not loaded and related cookies are not set until you accept. You can decline; the Website will still work, simply without any analytics or measurement tools running. We do not use the Website to show third-party display ads; optional tools are for analytics and measuring the effectiveness of our own campaigns (for example, whether a visit or download followed a Reddit or X ad).

We store your accept or decline choice in your browser’s local storage so we can remember it. Select Privacy choices in the Website footer at any time to reopen the choice panel. If you withdraw after optional analytics tools have loaded, the page reloads once to stop them; later page views remain tag-free. Withdrawing cannot by itself delete cookies previously set by a third party; you can clear those through your browser or use the vendor controls linked below. We also honor supported Global Privacy Control signals by treating them as a rejection of optional tools.

Cloudflare, Google, Reddit, X, and other vendors process data under their own privacy policies. Where available, we use privacy-oriented settings for analytics and measurement tools.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal information through the Website unless you voluntarily provide it.

4. Support

If you contact us for support — for example, by opening an issue on our public GitHub support repository — we receive the information you choose to provide. Content you post on GitHub is public and is also processed by GitHub under its own privacy policy. Please do not include sensitive personal information in support requests.

We use support information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, improve the App, and maintain records of support activity. We retain support requests for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes unless deletion is requested and we are legally able to delete it.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not: store or transmit your media; require accounts; sell personal information for money; or serve third-party ads on the Website. Optional measurement tags (only after you accept) may support our own marketing analytics and campaign reporting.

6. Children’s Privacy

LUTSgen is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.

7. International Users and Data Transfers

Our service providers (Apple, Cloudflare, Google, Reddit, X, and GitHub) operate globally and may process the limited technical data described above in countries other than your own, subject to those providers’ own safeguards and privacy policies. If you accept optional tags, Google, Reddit, and X may process related data in the United States and other countries.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data relating to you, including to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Because the App collects no personal data, and no Website analytics run without your consent, we generally hold little or no information that identifies you. You can withdraw optional analytics/advertising-measurement consent at any time by selecting Privacy choices in the Website footer and then declining.

  • EEA/UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): Essential Cloudflare delivery/security processing rests on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Website. Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and the tags it loads (including Google Analytics, Reddit advertising measurement, and X advertising measurement) run only with your consent. You may withdraw consent, object to legitimate-interest processing where applicable, and complain to your local supervisory authority.
  • California and similar US state laws: We do not sell personal information for money. Optional advertising measurement tags (for example Reddit or X) may involve “sharing” or targeted advertising as those laws define those terms, only if you accept. You can opt out by declining the on-site notice, selecting Privacy choices in the footer, or using a supported Global Privacy Control signal. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit, and will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

9. Data Retention

The App stores your media only on your device; we retain no personal data about App users. Your Website privacy choice remains in your browser until you reset it, clear site data, or Global Privacy Control overrides it. If you accept optional analytics, aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics data is retained by Cloudflare for a limited period in non-identifying form, and Google, Reddit, X, and other vendors retain related identifiers and event data according to their product settings and privacy policies.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information described in this Policy. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
